There are several necessary preparations
in the Lasik preoperative period. The operation itself, while an advanced medical procedure, remains a
relatively easy procedure to perform.
It
is made by creating a thin flap on the eye, folding it
to enable remodeling or reshaping of the cornea
through the removal of bits of tissue underneath with
laser. The flap is then repositioned and the eye is left to
heal in the postoperative period which
does not require a hospital stay. Lasik eye
surgery does not come with a variety of complications as
is often the case when it comes to other elective
procedures such as plastic surgery.
As a result, the
person is "freed" of the vision problem that had been
there previously.
